Anyone who has ever decided to grow long, thick hair and take conscious care of it knows this.
A good hair conditioner is unmatched in this process. Combined with a scalp massage, it stimulates dormant hair follicles, accelerates the hair's life cycle, and (depending on the ingredients) helps combat scalp problems like oiliness.

Grow Us Tender by Anwen is a cult hair conditioner. It received the Wizaż.pl Icon of All Time award. At the time of writing, it has a 4.5/5 rating on the same website, with 785 user reviews.

But how does the product itself fare in use? As someone who loves testing all sorts of cosmetics, I naturally had the pleasure of trying it out.

Firstly, the scent. It's strongly herbal, sometimes reminiscent of wet hay. Personally, it doesn't bother me much, and the results (beautiful hair growth) definitely make up for it. Secondly, the warm, tingling sensation. This, too, has its pros and cons in user reviews. I like this feeling because it gives me the impression that the product is actually working. It's worth noting that Grow Us Tender is not an alcohol-based lotion. The "working" sensation doesn't come from its irritating properties, but rather from carefully selected warming ingredients – the HotFlux® complex and peppermint essential oil. Additionally, the lotion contains soothing ingredients such as panthenol. This means it can even be used overnight. However, I recommend leaving the lotion on for about two hours the first time you use it – even natural ingredients can cause allergic reactions, so it's worth testing first.

I'll repeat it here, and probably in many others in the future – using a hair conditioner even once a week makes a huge difference in hair growth and development. I understand perfectly well that with a busy daily routine, it's sometimes difficult to find even 15 minutes for the entire application of a hair conditioner before washing. So, just like with the gym, I recommend focusing on consistency over frequency. Ideally, you should do this about three times a week (for alcohol-free hair conditioners), but sometimes there are more important things than an evening of hair conditioner.

But let's get back to the star of this post, the Anwen hair lotion. As an alcohol-free hair lotion, it's perfect for beginners. It's a sure bet – reading reviews, most people report thickening of hair around the temples and across the entire head. They also notice accelerated hair growth, up to 3 cm per month. I grew my longest hair using this hair lotion.

An additional advantage is the ability to use the conditioner overnight. This is convenient when you have to get up and wash your hair in the morning and don't have time (at least an hour) to wait for the conditioner to work before washing.

TIP: Not all lotions are suitable for use overnight. Alcohol-based ones, while offering countless benefits that I'll definitely write about someday, can dry out the scalp if used overnight.

Another benefit of this conditioner (and most conditioners in general) is the noticeable, prolonged freshness of my hair. I wash my hair every other day, usually tying it up on "no wash" days. I've noticed that when using this conditioner and a few other ones, I feel less likely to tie my hair up on non-wash days. My scalp feels cleaner, and the hair at the scalp feels lifted and fresh.
